Continuum Home Care & Hospice of Lenoir County hosted a Ribbon
Cutting on Tuesday, December 4. They are located at 704M Plaza
Blvd. Kinston (the end office in the shopping center with
Corporate Resources). Debbie Chused from Coastal Connections
Marketing and a Chamber Board member greeted everyone and
welcomed Continuum Home Care & Hospice to the business
community. Councilwoman Alice Tingle was on hand to cut the
ribbon. Part of the presentation made by the staff mentioned
that: “We are a hospice business that opened in May 2007. We
have other offices located in Jacksonville and New Bern that
provide Hospice care to individuals in both home and facility
settings.” |

East Carolina
Farm Credit opened a new location at 7900 Hwy 70 just past
BoJangles in LaGrange. They celebrated the opening of their
new facility with a ribbon cutting on November 20. Branch
Manager, David Herring addressed the large crowd that was on
hand to help them celebrate.

Small Affair Bistro had their Ribbon Cutting on November
13. They are located at the Vernon Park Mall, on Vernon
Ave. You can find them inside the Mall next to Party Express,
and across from Foot Locker, Sears, and Hearne's Jewelers. They
offer a variety of homemade food and goodies

Kinston-Lenoir County Visitor’s and
Information Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting took
place on November 13. A huge crowd was on hand to officially
open the newly constructed Kinston-Lenoir County Visitor's and
Information Center that is located at the intersection of Hwy 70
& 258 South |

On Thursday, October 25 Massey Toyota Scion Ribbon celebrated
the opening of their new location on Hwy. 70- 1 mile west of
Wal-Mart. Massey was established in 1940 on King Street in
downtown Kinston and is a third generation business. They sell
and service Toyotas, Scions, and used vehicles. Their years of
outstanding customer service have won them several state and
national recognitions. A huge crowd was on hand to congratulate
Randy Kelley and his staff. |

King Tiger After School Ribbon Cutting was celebrated recently
with Mayor Buddy Ritch cutting the ribbon. Their second location
is in the Kinston Plaza beside Big Lots and Piggly Wiggly. This
is their After School and summer camp programs location. Their
programs we instill discipline,
respect, among many other things.

Mayor Buddy Ritch and several Chamber members were on hand to
officially cut the ribbon in celebration of one of Kinston’s
newest dining options. Our
Picnic Basket opened it doors in June with Ashleigh Shirley and
Dawn Johnson greeting their patrons with wonderful home cooked
food with the help of
other family members. Our Picnic Basket is located a 400
Glenwood Ave-Ste A in Kinston.

The Cake Gallery Ribbon Cutting recently celebrated it's
new location with a Ribbon Cutting. They are now located on 70
west just past the Dairy Queen
and Enterprise car rental in the old wine and cheese shop. The
business was bought in June of 2005 by Stephen Rouse and now has
grown and moved into a
new location. |

Mayor Buddy Ritch and many chamber members were on hand to
welcome one of our newest downtown Kinston stores. Barbaros is
new specialty kitchen store in the Herritage landing area. The
store is 2000 sq. ft. renovated in the old world charm. The
store will carry name brands such as All-clad, Wusthof,
Cuisinart and Staub. Also they will carry hard to find and smart
innovative gadgets for the home chef. Gourmet foods such as
olive oils, balsamic vinegars, sauces, spices and pastas are
also available. A great store to check out!! |

Mayor Buddy Ritch cuts the ribbon at the recent Ribbon Cutting
at Lenoir Orthopedics, a full service orthopedic practice owned
by Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Dr. Scott Stegbauer standing next
to the Mayor is a board certified orthopedic surgeon
specializing in bone and joint problems, joint replacement, hand
and foot surgery, all fractures and sports medicine.

Pizza Hut employees and many Chamber members are on hand as
Mayor Buddy Ritch cuts the ribbon celebrating the restaurant’s
remodeling and new menu.
On August 29th, Charles McGregor, GM at the Pizza Hut Kinston
location and his well-prepared and courteous staff welcomed
everyone at a ribbon cutting celebrating the restaurant’s new
looks. Charles and his team have been busy sprucing up the
restaurant with a new decor, paving and landscaping. All their
hard work has been in preparation for the New Bistro Menu!!! Now
the local restaurant is offering delicious pastas, soups &
sandwiches. Well-wishers were treated to samples from their new
menu. |

General Manager Richard VanMeter lead the ribbon "shredding"
along with Mayor Buddy Ritch and others. The purpose of the
ribbon shredding was to officially open the new store and show
Kinston that Staples wants to be an active community neighbor.
Staples presented the Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce with a
$1,500 donation at the August 7th event Staples, Inc. invented
the office superstore concept in 1986 and today is the world's
largest office products company |

Steve Parnell, hair color expert and stylist is owner and
operator of the new salon. Mayor Buddy Ritch was on hand to help
with the Grand Opening Celebration.

 A large number of Chamber and community members were on hand to
help celebrated the Grand Opening of the Dr. Saracino's Medical
Office located near the hospital at 2602 N. Herritage St.
Kinston. Mayor Buddy Ritch was on hand to help cut the Ribbon.
Dr. Saracino has constructed a new medical office with an
adjoining state of the art office-based endoscopy facility where
procedures usually done in the hospital setting-EGD and
Colonoscopy-will be performed. It is the FIRST and ONLY of its
kind in Lenoir County. Dr. Saracino has been in private practice
in Gastroenterology in Kinston for the past 15 years |

had a "Board Cutting" Event Thursday morning, June 21. Many people attended

The Chamber of Commerce
welcomed one of our newest members, Mitchell Eye Center, at a
ribbon cutting celebration. Mayor Buddy Ritch, Dr. Alex Wahl,
his staff and many chamber members were on hand.

agency owner celebrated the opening of his fourth location with a
Ribbon Cutting hosted by the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of
Commerce. More than thirty people attended from all segments of the
private and public sector. Guests were greeted by Chris, his wife
Stacey and fellow employees Judy Ball, Jan Rouse, Ashley Coulombe
and Michael Humphrey. Chris's newest location is at 900 West Queen

On March 8, 2007 the Kinston-Lenoir
County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Jackson Hewitt Tax
Service located at south Kinston Blvd. In Pink Hill. Owner Van Daughtry
stated, “My wife Julie and I own fourteen Jackson Hewitt locations
throughout southeastern NC. Pink Hill was a part of our territory
and we felt it would be an ideal place to open up a new location.
We are very excited to be a part of the community!” Mayor Anthony
Mitchell and many others were on hand for the official Ribbon Cutting
Ceremony.

a new business to our area.
Recently opened Salon Avalon beauty shop is located at 101 Airport Road
in Kinston.
The Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce was on hand to
celebrate their opening with a ribbon cutting.
Owner Cori Raynor is flanked by hair stylist Lindsay King, Daisie
Harper, Claire Isenbery and Ashlee Johnson as she cuts the ribbon.
